Learn to knit socks - Saturday 23 Feb and 2 March 2019
Saturday 23 February and 2 March
10.30am - 12.30pm
Meet at the shop - upstairs, 68-74 Kingsford Smith Street, Lyall Bay. We will walk next door to our classroom space (both unfortunately accesible by stairs).
Materials: all materials will be provided and are included in the class price, along with a light morning tea.
Want to try your hand at knitting socks? Heard of this 'magic loop' thing but don't know where to start? Come along to this class where you'll knit a child size sock over two sessions. We'll cover joining to knit in the round, magic loop to knit in the round, heel turns, short rows and kitchener stitch.
Skills required: You need to be able to cast on, knit, and purl and be a confident beginner (or better) knitter. If you don't know how to knit yet or need a refresher, check out our Learn to Knit class.
We'll be using the wonderful free Rye sock pattern from Tin Can Knits to teach this class, hooray!
