From the basic granny square to the African flower hexagon to elaborate textured or lacy creations, crochet motifs can be used to make a wide variety of projects. Motif-based projects can be easily portable, provide a chance to play with colours, and can be joined without sewing. This class teaches next step crochet techniques by focusing on motifs. It covers the basics of making a motif (reading written patterns and diagrams and smoothly changing colours), common techniques used in motifs, and joining options. Suitable for anyone with basic crochet skills (ch, sc, dc).
