Would you like to work at Holland Road?

April 18, 2011

Right, it's time we bit the bullet!

We need help! And not just any kind of help, super special help.

Would you like to work at Holland Road?

The specifics of the job are:

  • Strong knowledge of knitting and/or crochet
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Confidence handling cash, using eftpos and opening/closing a shop
  • Knowledge of Ravelry, and confidence with computers and the internet
  • Flexible availability
  • A commitment to learning about new yarns, products and techniques

Ideally we need someone available from 10 - 3pm (or thereabouts - this is flexible) twice a week, plus extra days when required - for example, the odd Saturday or Sunday.

Winter is a very busy time for us and at this stage these extra days will need to be covered (not necessarily by the one person, but to give an idea):

  • May 14, 15, 16 & 17
  • Queen's Birthday weekend
  • Shared days from 11 - 27 July
  • 5 - 7 August
  • 26 - 30 August (Knit August Nights weekend)

If you think you might fit the criteria, and are keen to work in a fun environment surrounded by yarn, email tash@knitschyarns.co.nz by Tuesday 26 April. Training will be provided and an anticipated start date will be the week of 2 May.

This is quite literally my dream job. If only I lived in New Zealand. Good luck for finding a suitable worker/s. I’ll be looking for a job like this on this side of the ditch.
