A bit of kiwi cute for your morning
Being a big (like massive) fan of kiwi music, this song and cute as a button clip from Avalanche City makes my patriotic heart happy. Added bonus being that my fave animal of all time is the penguin - double win!
Think this song will be played rather a lot in the shop...
Just a little bit of stalking...
For the past couple of weeks i've been driving past the shop as often as is practicable to see if it has been painted. After a week of no action, I concluded that the landlord was only active on the painting front on weekends.
So today, with a little hesitation, I pulled up outside.
The shop has been painted!! And it looks amazing!!
Finally it is starting to look like the shop in my daydreamy head - hurrah! Tomorrow I call the landlord and grovel for some keys. Wheee!
The blank canvas...
There are some rather grand plans for this space! The most wonderful thing is the wooden floors - right at the top of my list of fabulous things about the shop. I'm just waiting for the keys after the landlord has finished painting so furniture can be moved in. Let the transformation begin!
Announcing - your new LYS
Holland Road Yarn Company is set to open it's doors on Wednesday 23 February. Hanging out at 281 Jackson St, Petone, this yarn shop will be like no other in the country, promise.
Featuring indie dyers from NZ and abroad, in both yarn and fibre. Holland Road Yarn Co is set to be your craft home away from home.
If there is anything you are desperate to see in a yarn store, let me know, i'm all ears. Particularly for unique and unusual yarns you can't find anywhere else!
Over the next few weeks i'll be tracking the transformation of the shop and letting you know a bit more about what we will be stocking. Come along for the ride!
